Taking The Mercury Plunge PDF Print E-mail

Last week I took my last autumn swim.  I don’t mind cold water but the mercury has bottomed out for winter.  With a heavy heart I have put my beloved pool noodle into hibernation along with the garden tortoises.  Fortunately the months pass so quickly. This year I will not only be looking forward to beginning my swimming season in September but our tortoise has laid eggs in the middle of the lawn so I will also be looking forward to being a granny.  In the meantime our gardener has to carefully mow a square meter border around the eggs!

Speaking of mercury, I am officially mercury free.  I took the plunge and had the offending mercury professionally removed from my teeth.  It seemed pointless trying to build up my immune system while I had a mouthful of mercury.  If you have read my previous blog on mercury you will know that teeth filled with amalgam give off mercury vapour for over 100 years! There is huge emphasis today on the link between RA and allergies and most of my RA friends have tried cutting out wheat, dairy etc.  My point is that we should not be allergic to these God-made foods!  What came first – the chicken or the egg?  I am more worried about the effects on my health of a KNOWN POISON like mercury than a slice of wholewheat bread!  I am thinking that just maybe the mercury in our system is behind many of our ailments and allergies.  My dentist agrees.

Mercury removal using a rubber dam                                Before                                                       After

It is VERY IMPORTANT to have mercury removed by a qualified dentist using a rubber dam procedure and strong suction.  NEVER allow a dentist to drill straight into a mercury filling.  The poison will go via your saliva straight into your system! A rectangular sheet of green rubber is clamped over the offending tooth and the four corners of the sheet are stretched and securely attached tightly outside your mouth in order to isolate the tooth.  Not too pleasant but definitely worth the discomfort.  My mouth has had a complete makeover.  I no longer have ugly fillings but most importantly I am free from the daily poison of mercury vapour.  I also took a course of tablets to remove any heavy metals from my system.  I am unsure if I should take the tablets for longer – maybe someone can give me advice?  This is just another example of how God is slowly but surely restoring my life.  My eyesight was restored in 2009, I am developing a strong physical foundation through my core muscles since 2011 and now in 2012 my mouth has been transformed – what next?!

When we seek God FIRST in our lives He promises to take care of all our needs.  We are all seeking, chasing, prioritizing something in our lives.  Our speech gives us away.  The thing we talk about the most is usually our first priority.  The truth is God won’t be low on your priority list.  He not only deserves first place but He honours those who centre their lives around Him.

"Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'  For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.  But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. (Matthew 6:31-34 NKJV)

I love The Message version of the same scripture:

What I'm trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God's giving. People who don't know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don't worry about missing out. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met. Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes. (The Message)

God bless!
